Chief Israel Emissary, KKL-JNF

With more than 28 years of dedicated service, Talia Tzour-Avner has played an instrumental role in implementing KKL-JNF’s vision for the land and people of Israel. As Jewish National Fund’s Chief Israel Emissary, Talia fosters a close connection between the American Jewish community, the Israeli people and KKL and JNF operations. She oversees JNF Task Forces on water solutions and cutting-edge development of Israel’s Arava region. A Sabra born in Jerusalem, Talia continues the Zionist legacy of her family, who made Aliyah from all over the world to play their part in establishing the State of Israel.

Rabbi Karen Thomashow

Associate Rabbi, Isaac M. Wise Temple

Rabbi Karen Thomashow is the Associate Rabbi at Isaac M. Wise Temple in Cincinnati, OH, a position she has held since 2013. Before joining Isaac M. Wise Temple, Rabbi Thomashow served for six years as Associate Rabbi of Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto, Canada. Rabbi Thomashow earned her rabbinic ordination at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) in Cincinnati in 2007 where she wrote her thesis entitled, “A Lily and an Apple: A History of Jewish Interpretation to the Song of Songs.” Rabbi Thomashow also serves as the Rabbinic Co-Chair of the Reform Movement’s Brit Milah Board of North America and the President of the Greater Cincinnati Board of Rabbis.
