Arts & Entertainment

Art, music, dance, film, television, and theatre all feed the soul. Festivals and live performances draw people from across the country and promote tourism – stimulating the local economy and fostering pride in the community.

Art-based programs also provide therapy for children and families living in frontier communities who face constant threat of rocket attacks and often suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Arts and entertainment are powerful tools that transform the lives of our brothers and sisters.

We are dedicated to strengthening the Negev and Galilee by bringing art and cultural events to countless communities. This is where you come in – our visionaries, artists, planners, and creative minds – the driving forces behind our Arts and Entertainment Task Force. Please join our Task Force with a minimum annual donation of $5,000.  All donation amounts welcome.

Tri-Region Music Consortium

Child Playing Instrument

The Tri-Region Music Consortium creates regional cooperation among three conservatories in the Gaza Envelope, enabling students to participate in musical ensembles and achieve the highest levels of success. The program brings top-tier instructors to the area, provides new and improved instruments to students, and offers scholarships to those who otherwise might not be able to afford lessons. The bright light of music in these families’ lives is an essential therapeutic and cultural necessity, an important escape from the trauma of living in these tense regions. Music has the power to transform the desert into a magical place of rhythm and stability, uplifting the spirits of both the musicians and those who hear them play.

Special in Uniform Music Program

Jewish National Fund-USA provides individuals with disabilities the chance to train and serve on IDF bases throughout the country. When young people with disabilities learn a musical instrument, their social functioning, self-esteem, self-expression, motivation, and memory are all positively impacted. Our goal is to provide soldiers with disabilities an environment where individual differences are celebrated. We are changing the lives of the soldiers and their families while showing the world that true strength resides in the resiliency of the human spirit.
