As a vibrant and continuously growing network of strong women who love Israel, our Women for Israel campaign keeps moving forward. With chapters across the nation and more members stepping up into leadership positions, we can’t wait to see what the next decade will have in store.
Women for Israel is creating a brighter future for Israelis of all backgrounds, and providing exciting opportunities for American women who are passionate about Israel’s future. We are creating a lasting legacy for generations to come.
Creating Networking and Leadership Opportunities
We connect women through engagement, fundraising, educational, and cultural events. Attend an event, learn something new, be inspired by the land and people of Israel, by our work in Zionist education and engagement, and by other women in your community. Tracy Kaplan, Northern New Jersey WFI and Board Member, shared that, “Women for Israel is a way of meeting people, both similar and different, who share a love for Israel. I love that I can see what we as women can do and get involved in.”
Expanding Our Giving Societies
Over the past 10 years, we have expanded from two to five Giving Societies, adding Chai ($1,800), Circle of Sapphire ($100,000) and Circle of Sapphire Plus ($200,000) which include access to high-level briefings with Israeli dignitaries and organizational leaders. Kim Kotzkin, President of Women for Israel, said, “Being part of a giving society connects you more to the people and initiatives making a difference in Israel. The fact that we started with one society and now have five is proof that women are involved at the highest levels of Jewish National Fund-USA and are proud of their contributions.”
Increasing Our National Reach
Women for Israel has expanded to more than 30 regions and is even reaching younger audiences. For Raeefa Shams, the Co-President of Mid-Atlantic JNFuture Board, VP of Leadership on the JNFuture National Board, and National Chai Society Chair, Women for Israel, it’s all about bringing more people into the 21st century of Zionism, saying that, “Our generation wants to feel like we are partners in a shared project and I get that sense from Jewish National Fund-USA. It gives me a lot of pride and joy and individual fulfillment.”
Experiencing Israel Together
There’s no better way to understand the true impact of our work and your participation than by seeing it firsthand. On the Queen of Sheba – Women’s Mission to Israel, you’ll see, touch, and taste the difference you’re making. Barbara Burry, Immediate Past President, Women for Israel, said, “The impact of traveling together with a group of women is amazing. Sharing in each other’s excitement and energy and seeing our work firsthand is truly inspiring.”
