Bio

Scott Gendell (Chicago, IL) is the President of Wilmette, IL-based Terraco, Inc., a shopping center development and management firm he founded in 1985. A supporter of reservoir development in Israel through JNF, he led a mission to Israel in 2003 with the late Illinois Senator Paul Simon. Scott serves on the board of the Illinois Holocaust Museum as well as the advisory board of the Jewish Studies Department of his alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, he serves on the executive board of Chicago’s AIPAC chapter. From 1995-2007, Scott served as an interviewer for Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the SHOAH Foundation and wrote a play titled The Last Sabbath, which draws upon his interviews. It was stage-read by actors from The Shattered Globe Theatre in 2013 and in full production in 2014. Scott is a past President of JNF in Chicago and is a member of the President’s Society and Century Council.
