In the JNF Kitchen: Shavuot savory cheese quiche from northern Israel
We're taking things in a more savory direction and offering a cheesy, Israeli take on the quiche. This simple yet tasty dish is courtesy of Mira Telem, owner of Rushka Cafe Gallery in the Western Galilee. Mira is a member of Western Galilee Now, a consortium of small businesses in the region. JNF works with the group to help build the economy and livelihood of the area, thereby making the Western Galilee a wonderful place to visit and live, outside of Israel's congested center. It is a highlight of the #GoNorth campaign.

Crust of your choice (store-bought or homemade)
1-1/5 cups cream cheese
1/4 cup kashkaval
1/4 cup cheddar cheese
1/4 cup goat cheese (according to your own taste)
1/4 cup Bulgarian cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pre-bake the crust for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned.
Mix all the ingredients for the filling together, pour into the crust and bake until the top is golden brown.
*Mira's tip: Sprinkle some blanched almond slices to top it off!
